Sponsor a Child, Save a Life!
Sponsoring a child is providing them with the essential resources in order to secure their future through ensuring they have access to safety, education and health.
What is Sponsorship?
Sponsorship is one of KSC’s Protection Program projects and it has been helping children in the region since 1991. The sponsorship project provides orphaned children and children who live in low-income households with financial support. The aim of the project is to help the children stay in school, avoid child labour and lead the honourable life that every child deserves. The sponsorship project sources its financial support from sponsors and charitable persons in Kurdistan and Outside the region as well.
Who Needs Help?
A large number of children require financial assistance in KRG. These children need help to lead a better life and secure their future. At the time being, and in KSC’s Slemani, Halabja, Erbil and Duhok offices, around 350 children are registered in the sponsorship project and are waiting to be sponsored. Many more children are in need of help and are not registered yet.
How to Help?
You can help a child by becoming their sponsor, and providing them with a monthly financial support that will be used to cover their daily and school expenses. The child will be writing you letters, and you can communicate with them and their families with the help of KSC’s social workers. This will create a lasting, meaningful bond that will further strengthen the child’s social confidence and overall wellbeing.

How Much Can You Donate?
The amount of your monthly support is your decision. However, it cannot be less than IQD 50,000, about $35 per month. This is important because we want the amount to be efficient and make a difference in the child’s life.
Where Does the Financial Support Go?
You can send your donation, or have it collected by KSC’s fundraising staff. Then, it will be distributed among the children’s families every two months.
