Child Protection Program
Every Child deserves the right to live free from violence, exploitation and abuse
The child protection program was established in 1991 with the aim of protecting children’s rights in the Kurdistan Region within the framework of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Kurdistan Save the Children has put all its efforts into providing children with a protected environment, far from all forms of maltreatment and exploitation in collaboration with local and international organizations to ensure no child is mistreated in any form.
The convention on the rights of the child and all additional laws and agreements relative to the rights of children are standards for all the projects and activities in the program.
Within the framework of child protection, the usable strategies in the organization projects and activities is to work on child labour protection and observation, sponsorship, Help line116 ,case management and protection and psychosocial support for refugee children in cooperation with UNHCR.
